| Description: Invent with Scratch and Robotics for kids 8+ This course is intended to inspire beginners and show our amazing kids the wonders of computer science. Through projects, students will practice coding with Scratch and will learn algorithms, loops, conditionals, functions, and events. At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to create a capstone project that they can proudly share with peers and loved ones. Students will be using Edison Robot to achieve different tasks from moving in all directions, avoiding obstacles, playing different sounds and more. Throughout the course, learners will use a robotics kits and devices such as Circuit Playground, mCore and microb. This approach enhances learning flexibility and the ability to work with different platforms, and insure that coding and robotics learning which forms the heart of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education is accessible to most kids and youth in our community. Kids need to bring their own laptop to the in-person classes. Who can register for this Program?
